“First, I would like to thank Remstar Management, Remstar Racing, and Fast MD Racing for giving me this opportunity. I have a wide variety of racing experience between stock cars, open wheel racing, and off-road racing and now I get to add sports car racing to the list! We had a very productive test at Road Atlanta, and it’s an honor that the team selected me for the VP Challenge race. I’m really looking forward to this new challenge and putting the Remstar LMP3 up front.” - Jagger Jones.
Mike Hull, Managing Director at Chip Ganassi Racing, is among the individuals in Jagger Jones' circle and fully supports the decision to offer him this opportunity. Hull believes in the immense talent of the 21-year-old driver.
“It’s exciting that Remi Lantinga has chosen Jagger Jones based upon his talent to represent Remstar in the VP Challenge at Petit. Jagger’s proven versatility to win from a young age that started in Karting and then forward into open-and closed wheel racing provides him an opportunity to be showcased to an IMSA audience. The global sports car racing growth is being strengthened by the talented youth movement. Jagger fits what the next teammate generation provide: natural talent tempered equally by an ethic to unselfishly share.” – Mike Hull, managing director at Chip Ganassi Racing.
Jagger's journey in motorsports began at a young age, inspired by a family deeply involved in racing. At just 6 years old, he found himself in a go-kart and instantly fell in love with the sport. His prodigious talent led him to win the 'National Karting Championship,' which opened doors for him to compete in Europe. After two successful years overseas, Jagger returned to the U.S. and embarked on a promising NASCAR career, achieving notable success. In 2019, he secured an impressive 2nd place finish in the ARCA West Championship, along with the coveted Rookie of the Year honors and a standout victory in Roseville, CA. After a brief break, Jagger transitioned to open-wheel racing, earning victories at revered tracks like Barber Motorsports Park and another Rookie of the Year title in the USF 2000 Series. In 2023, he had a stellar rookie season in INDY NXT, highlighted by a 2nd place finish in Detroit and consistent top 10 finishes.
